INGREDIENTS

  • 355 g

    all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp

    active dry yeast

  • 0.5 tsp

    salt

  • 0.75 tsp

    sugar

  • 200 ml

    blood temperature water

  • 1 Tbsp

    olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour then add the yeast and the salt.
    2. Dissolve the sugar in half the water then add it to the flour mixture.
    3. Gradually add the remaining water while mixing until the dough comes together and is sticky. You may not need to use the whole amount of water.
    4. Add in the olive oil, and with your hands or your stand mixer, knead it until silky smooth.
    5. Lightly cover the dough in oil and place into a deep bowl.
    6. Cover with stretch film and place it in a warm place to ferment for 2 hours.
    7. Flour your work surface and tip the dough and cut into 12 equal pieces.
    8. Sprinkle flour on each piece and leave the dough to rest, covered, for 10-15 minutes.
    9. Preheat the oven and roll each piece into a 6in. circle.
    10. Add the topping of your choice and bake for 7-10 minutes.
