INGREDIENTS

  • 600 g

    ground mutton (you could use hamburger meat instead)

  • 1 kg

    fresh tomatoes (or 2 cans tomato sauce)

  • 0.5 cup

    chopped parsley

  • 2

    onions

  • 1 tsp

    salt

  • 50 g

    pine kernels, toasted, for garnish

  • 2 Tbsp

    butter or vegetable oil

  • 0.5 tsp

    cumin

INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Finely chop the onions.
    2. Mix chopped onions with meat and parsley, and season them with salt, pepper, and cumin.
    3. Mix them well and make balls in the size of a nut.
    4. Brown the balls in the butter.
    5. Cover with tomato sauce (if it's canned tomato then dilute it with 1 and a 1/2 glass of water).
    6. Cook for about 25 minutes at medium high heat.
    7. Turn each one of the balls over after half time.
    8. Serve hot on vermicelli rice.
