Fried Rice Recipe

INGREDENTS

  • 4 Cups cold cooked rice
  • 1 or 2 Green onions (as desired)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 – 2 Tbsp light soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
 METHOD

Step 1

Wash then finely chop the green onion(s).

Step 2

Beat eggs with the salt and some pepper to taste.

Step 3

Heat a frying pan (or a wok) and add 2 tbsps of oil.

Step 4

Add the beaten eggs when oil is hot.

Step 5

Cook, stirring, until egg is lightly scrambled (don’t let get too dry).

Step 6

Remove eggs then clean out the pan.

Step 7

Add the remaining 2 tbsps of oil.

Step 8

Add rice and stir fry for a few minutes with a wooden spoon to make sure you break the rice apart.

Step 9

Stir in soy sauce.

Step 10

Add the scrambled egg back into the pan when rice is all heated through.

Step 11

Mix the rice well with the scrambled egg.

Step 12

Stir in the green onion(s) and serve hot.
